adidas presents the new FUSSBALLLIEBE Official Match Ball for UEFA EURO 2024.

FUSSBALLLIEBE, which means "love of football", will bring connected ball technology to the UEFA European Football Championship for the first time. FUSSBALLLIEBE has been specially designed to ensure greater precision in the game. Its 20-panel PRECISIONSHELL shape and strategically placed relief grooves on the outer shell of the ball have been meticulously researched and tested both in the laboratory and on the pitch to control the airflow over the ball and achieve maximum precision. The outer shell is supported by the innovative CTR-CORE inside the ball, designed to ensure precision and consistency, promoting fast and accurate play with maximum shape and air retention. The FUSSBALLLIEBE design represents the movement of the ball and the energy of the game through raised black wing shapes, accentuated by coloured edges, curves and dots.

The use of red, blue, green and orange celebrates both the vibrancy that the participating nations bring to the tournament and the pure simplicity of football that fans around the world love so much. Illustrations of each tournament stadium and the name of each host city appear on the ball. For the first time at the UEFA European Football Championship, the official ball will feature adidas Connected Ball technology, which sends precise data about the ball to match officials in real time. By combining player position data with artificial intelligence, this innovation contributes to UEFA's semi-automatic offside technology and will be key to facilitating faster decisions during the match.

Developed in close collaboration with Kinexon, adidas Connected Ball technology can also help VAR match officials identify each individual ball contact, reducing the time spent on hand touches and penalties.
