Mexico 1980 Pele Retro Jersey

Throughout his lengthy career Brazilian legend Pelé dazzled and inspired wherever he played around the globe for Santos, New York Cosmos or Brazil. For many starstruck opponents the most memorable moment of their careers was sharing a pitch with the great man and, for a select few, the privilege of swapping shirts with him at the end of a game.

The sport's most photographed 20th century icon ended his career with a huge selection of opposing club and national team shirts from his travels and here he's sporting a Mexico shirt from a charity game in the 1980s. Mexico was of course a country very close to Pelé's heart as the scene of his third World Cup win with Brazil in 1970.
