adidas unveils an exclusive FC Bayern München home kit in a triple shade of red for the upcoming 2024/25 season: This is the first time in the club's history that three different shades of the iconic club colour have been used in the home shirt. The new interpretation of the vertical striped look, loved by the fans, is applied through the creative use of the rhombus shape, which refers to the club itself and the region of Bavaria. 

The superimposition of wavy stripes that are darker and lighter than red, as Bayern's primary social colour, brings a contemporary touch to one of football's most recognisable jerseys, creating a dynamic and eye-catching design that showcases the traditional 'moving' stripe. A third shade completes the jersey details with a dark red version of the adidas logo, three stripes, club crest, team name and jersey sponsor logos.

By applying a triple red colour scheme, adidas designers pay tribute to FC Bayern München's position as the only men's team in Germany to have won the continental treble - winning the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal Cup and UEFA Champions LeagueTM titles in the 2012/13 and 2019/20 seasons.

Staying true to its DNA and speaking of the club's tradition and heritage, the diamond diamonds, synonymous with the team's coat of arms and the Bavarian flag, give depth to the design and are subtly printed in the basic red fabric of the entire jersey. The club motto, Mia san Mia - meaning 'we are what we are' - adorns the outside of the back neck of the jersey as a tribute to the unwavering passion and pride that unites the players on the pitch and the fans in the stands.

The adidas design team spokesperson said: "Red is more than just a colour for FC Bayern München: it is an established symbol of the club's early origins in Bavaria and has been at the heart of the team's identity for over 100 years, as evidenced by the team's affectionate nickname - 'Die Roten' (The Reds). We wanted to create a kit that paid homage to this characteristic, but in an unexpected way. Through a thoughtful application of this shade, we have combined a strong, bold impact, evident on the field of play, with a more subtle, quiet and convincing graphic detail, visible only to the fans and athletes who will wear it with pride".  

Made to ensure performance and to give world-class players the confidence to play under pressure, the jerseys feature the latest adidas technology and were created in close collaboration with the FC Bayern München men's and women's teams.
